This restaurant impresses with extremely nice service, a good ambience and good cooking skills. You really can't make a mistake here

I always ate very well in the podium. PRICES are very solid. The AMBIENTE is very good!

Cozy ambience. Home-style cuisine with a Franconian touch. Delicious Franconian beer. Very attentive service. Personally, there are not enough vegetables for me. The salad is tasty and fresh.

The Schäufele gets five stars mega delicious from me. The host is super nice. The staff too and is very attentive. The toilets were super clean. The hygiene concept is implemented well. The toilet for meetings, however, is very sporty or for sporty people. But this is due to the old building. This one with a twinkling eye. Because I wouldn't fit in there. Otherwise highly recommended. 👍🏻

Always great here. Especially the delicious sambal cream sauce made from pork fillet Batamog. Simply excellent!

Very nice service, delicious food

We ended up here by accident because we were looking for a restaurant with outside seating. The restaurant had a special summer menu with Spanish specialties. We have two starters (albondigas and papas arrugadas with red mojo). For the main course we had lamb goulash. The very friendly and courteous staff rounded off the evening. There was also the perfect wine advice for the meal. Thank you for the great food.

Had reserved a table in the garden that was probably given elsewhere. Because of corona, we didn't want to sit inside. On it and as unfriendly as possible it would be communicated that there was no space left (by the boss personally) apparently no longer needed. Never again!

Home cooking at affordable prices. Very nicely located on the Moritzberg. In summer you can use the beautiful beer garden and in winter it is comfortably furnished. The service very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is always well attended, which speaks for itself. Gladly again.

Food is good, organization can be improved.

We are often there to eat it be it at my parents' silver wedding or my grandma's birthday and every Christmas. The food is always excellent the service always nice and friendly and not as intrusive as in other restaurants. The atmosphere is just beautiful, very rustic but simply gorgeous. In summer you can sit outside very well, but you hardly notice that you are actually in a city because it is located in a quieter corner of Hildesheim. Just to be recommended. We are always enthusiastic again. The price performance is right here in any case. Would give even more stars but unfortunately there are only 5 stars :)

For our wedding, we used the catering of Meyer's podium. The arrangements with Mr. Meyer were already very pleasant in advance and he has responded very flexibly to our wishes. On the day of the wedding party, all guests were very impressed by the food, including bridal couple :-). At later hour then another small snack (Currywurst) was delivered. Many thanks to Meyers Treppchen for acting in the interest of your guests. It lacked neither quality nor quantity. We were very satisfied.

Good restaurant but be carefull no credit card accepted

The place is very nice. Unfortunately it was a bit cold, despite the additional heating. The food tastes very good and the portion size is also okay. The price is reasonable and requests for changes are also taken into account. There were only some difficulties with the hospitality receipt. So if you leave Essen or want to invite a business partner, you have to say exactly how you want the invoice. I did this too, but it still didn't work. While it is rare for you to be invited to a business lunch, it is definitely very problematic. I thought that was a shame.

I had a lovely dinner here! The food was really delicious and authentic (according to my friend who is local). Enjoyed the schnitzel with spätzle and mushrooms very much! No English menus available but if you have a translator app or friend to help it’s definitely worth it. Would return again!
